Volunteers are what make United Way of Albany County work!
With only one full time Director and one part-time paid staff we would not be able to accomplish all that is needed to make UWAC a successful non-profit. We brought in over $375,000 this year because of our generous donors and all of our volunteers!
Our governing board consists of 20 volunteers who work year round and during our campaign (Sept. 15th – Nov. 15th) we enlist the help of over 275 volunteers. We finish off with a group of about 40 who help with our allocation process (April/May) and other needs throughout the year.

Run a Campaign at your Workplace
Every year, many of our local businesses run United Way fundraising campaigns. Through one-time gifts or ongoing payroll deduction, employees at these organizations have the opportunity to invest in our community by supporting United Way of Albany County.
Led by teams of hard-working volunteers at each organization, these dynamic campaigns often involve large group kick-off meetings, educational presentations, special events and more - raising critical resources and awareness for our participating agencies and delivering valuable team-building experiences for our business partners.
United Way can provide direct support and a range of informational communication materials to assist your organization in planning and implementing a fun and effective United Way fundraising campaign. We run our campaign September 15 – November 15th so please contact us today to get your office campaign underway!
